The CC850 is the ideal combination of classic design and cutting-edge technology, and is engineered to be the perfect driver’s car.
Inspired by the original CC8S, the CC850 features the classic Koenigsegg silhouette, while the interior, and particularly the analog chronocluster, is a work of art. Meanwhile, every innovation under the hood is designed to enhance the driving experience, including the engage shift system (ESS) and light-speed transmission (LST).
The ESS combines a 6-speed manual gearbox, including a clutch pedal, with a fully automatic transmission with super-fast and frictionless shifting, depending on the experience the driver desires at any given moment. With the manual gearbox and clutch, the driver can feel an unparalleled connection with the car, feeling every subtlety as the rubber meets the road.
With the automatic mode engaged, the driver can sit back, relax and enjoy seamless shifting and effortless performance, while also being able to change gear ratios to experience different sensations behind the wheel.
ESS ensures the optimal driving experience while offering unmatched variety and control, and it is one of the many features that makes the CC850 a truly special vehicle.
Thanks to the 1,385 bhp available from the engine, the CC850 is one of a select few megacars to boast a 1:1 power-to-weight ratio, as the entire vehicle will weigh just 1,385 kg.
This means that, while the CC850 won’t be going for any new speed records, it will offer the driver a potent combination of pure power and ultimate driveability. The car feels nimble and agile, while also being able to compete with almost anything in terms of acceleration and straight-line-speed.
The original chronocluster was designed for earlier vehicles like the CCX, and they were an innovative way to give the driver essential information about the rpm and speed in a visually appealing way. The design team have worked on the cluster continuously since those early examples, and the changes have resulted in the CC850 being the first Koenigsegg to include a true second generation chronocluster.
The new version shows the different gear ratios, based on the engaged gear, and the rpm and speed needles change their movement speeds to account for this. Everything is designed with a classic look, while ensuring that all the important information can be understood in a single glance.
It provides the driver with real visual feedback about for the mechanical drivetrain, and paired with the round steering wheel, the CC850 has a cockpit that includes truly modern technology and timeless designs.
It is also a dual tribute for Koenigsegg, celebrating 20 years of vehicle production, as well as the 50th birthday of the company’s founder and namesake, Christian von Koenigsegg.
“The CC850 is an homage to the single most meaningful car in Koenigsegg history,” said Christian von Koenigsegg. “The CC8S put us on the map and made us successful – and celebrating 20 years of production, alongside my 50th birthday, felt like the right time to reveal the CC850 to appreciate our roots.”

"Clearly, we struck a chord with the connoisseurs and the fans by blending our roots with novel thinking and a timeless design that stands apart from the rest. We are humbled and grateful for the response and will do our utmost to exceed expectations."
