This EB110 is one of three prototype vehicles manufactured for the development of the Super Sport version. This protype was initially produced to aid bodywork and design development and in April 1993 it was used for homologation testing in France. In June 1993 this car was fitted with a special engine and two wheel drive system for fuel consumption homologation testing. Following these tests a standard four-wheel drive system was fitted by Bugatti.

The engine in this prototype (built in April 1992), previously fitted in the prototype C7 (GT39006), was used to break the world speed record achieving 342.7 KM/H.

This Super Sport Prototype was retained at the Bugatti factory for addressing any ongoing issues with owners cars. Solutions would be developed using this vehicle before being implemented to the newer production examples.

This Super Sport has several factory modifications which are not evident on other EB110's:

- Twin Tank Single Filler System

- Carbon Fibre Engine Cover

- Revised Gear Selector

This prototype vehicle was kept by Bugatti Automobili SpA until its first owner took delivery of the car in 1997.

The car has been registered in the UK since 2015, supplied and delivered by Bugatti GB

139 EB110s were produced, just 33 of these were Super Sport versions with only three cars carrying the provenance of this vehicle. We believe this to be the finest example of an EB110 in existence.
